Last year, I decided to do the Goodreads challenge. I knew I could read a lot of books since I've done it in the past. I looked at some logs and thought that I would be able to read 80 books no problem. By December I looked and couldn't believe that I was actually about to fail at my goal. I'd read over a hundred books in a year before. After some last minute reading, I ended the year at 85 books. So that was the number I chose to go with this year. Currently, I'm almost 3 books behind. This only means I need to do some super reading.
I'm almost done with a couple of books, but life gets in the way of reading time. Something that must be rectified. I'll find a way to make this all smooth. Books are amazing and authors are awesome. I've have a few books to talk about in the next blog.
I live in an area that doesn't get snow and is normally too hot for my tastes, but this winter I'm cold. No where to the temps of the north, but for me it's enough. I have a fireplace, but it must be cleaned and given the stamp of approval before I even attempt to light a fire. A cup of hot tea, coffee, or cocoa would be fantastic next to a roaring blaze curled up with a soft warm blanket and a book or ten.
